Vilnius is one of the oldest towns in Europe. In the place of river Neris and Vilnele junction at the bottom of Mountain Pilies people leaved about 2000 years ago, and at the top of mountain in the first millennium was assembled a settlement, through it passed commercial ways. In XI centaury near junction of rivers was built the fortress, and at the foot of the mountain was found pagan temple of Perkunas. Mindaugas, who united many Lithuanian lands in 1251 was baptised and in the place of pagan temple, built stone cathedral. Officially Vilnius became capital of Lithuania when Gedeminas transfer it here from Old Trakai in 1323 and sent invitation in the towns of West Europe for masters and merchants. |

At 10-00 we with the guide meet with you apartments. According to your desire, excursion on Old city and the Center to Vilnius will be prolonged till 13 o'clock, then departure in Trakai , excursion on Trakai and a diner at restaurant.
